She is one of the most influential people in my life.
She is the one who has been bullied by me while most of people find it easy to bully me.
She is the first person who knew that I’m not that smart while my mom strongly disagreed.
She is the first person who introduced all 80’s pop songs such as New Kids on the block, Bon jovi, Guns n’ roses to me.
She is a strong woman who is running after what she has been dreaming while many people give up half way.
She is my older sister, another Park.
In my childhood, she was the one who gave me hard time. She was super smart, always top in the school. Being compared with her was something that I always had to put up with.
Like all other brothers and sisters in their childhood, we had many wars between us. I still remember that I cried a lot while playing a board game because she won all the money, and didn’t want to lend me anything at all. I hated her so much that I didn’t talk to her for a while. Whatever she did, I had to do it as well, whatever she had, I had to have it, too! I learnt piano because she won a piano competition, I played guitar because she wanted to learn. I used a hair dryer because she did it too J. But now I don’t use it. (Please believe me, I have it though
)
Through it all, she has been good sister and friend to me. Since she moved to Seoul 10 years ago, plus after I came to Brisbane, we hardly see each other. I think because of this, I started to appreciate her more.
When I was doing my last year in high school, our family had to go through some issues. We came to the point where I had to choose to stay with either mom or dad. I was so young at that time that I was afraid of what would happen to me and all that worries made me frustrated. I didn’t know what to do, so I called sister. Even though it was tough enough for her to stay on her own since she was still doing uni, she was there for me, saying if worst comes to worst, she would look after me.
Still remember all those days two of us went through together. I also moved up to Seoul after high school. Unfortunately, we couldn’t afford a place to stay together. I had to find a small place where I could get to her place easily. When I visited her sometimes, she cooked for me, or we went out for eating, movie, shopping together. Geez.. Those memories still seem so clear.
While I was working here and there, also playing guitar to make a living, my sister finished uni and started working as a part of movie production. She studied film production to be a director. Sounds cool, but as a witness, I have to say that It isn’t really cool, in fact unless your parents are happy with supporting you all the way financially, I have no idea how you could survive.
But she’s never looked back (she withdrawn herself from one of the best uni in Korea to go to a film school.) until now, and she is literally making her dream come true.
Last week, I was online, checking emails, reading news and I found someone who looks familiar. Man, it was my sister, introduced as a main director for an upcoming movie with famous stars in Korea. They had a media press to promote their movie before starting to film the actual movie. I was like, what kind of sister she is, how come she didn’t tell me about this. After I tried to call her many times, called my mom to see what happened. She says sister is busy making this movie day and night, hard for her to pick up the phone. What a sister.
I have no doubt that even if this is the first major movie for her as a director, she will surly do a great job. I’m so proud of her, it’s not because she is famous now, because I know where she has come from, and because I know what she has been through. I pray that she will continue to grow to be the best as a director and I surly believe that she will be. Thank you sister, you have been such a blessing to me, hope this blog can help you to forget about little money I owe you. Go sister.
Ps. As you can see, she is not as good looking as me.

Thank you those who dropped me a line and encouraged me about my sharing through this blog.
I really appreciate you everyone.
Ever since I came back, I’ve been blessed so much because of you!
For those who have known me for a while, you were one of reasons that made me come back.
For those who have just got to know me, thank God for putting you in my life, looking forward to getting to know you more and serving God together.
For those who haven’t drop by here yet, where are you? Have I hurt you?
Through a healing conference we had for 3 days, I really thank God again for our church and every single person who gives their life to build this church together. I’m so proud of being a part of this family. This conference was life-transforming time to me. I was touched by seeing you working together to make it happen. I saw one of our care group members cry and accept Jesus. I believe that God moved so strongly because everyone of you served together and proclaimed together that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR OUR LORD.
Thank you for who you are. You make a difference in my life!
p.s.
1. Thank Chris for not breaking any strings during friday nite session. I will try harder next time to come up with a better “Sustain D solo”. Indeed you are the hottest dancer ever!
2. To Rachel Mok, please present 18+ ID or you’re not allowed to listen to my songs.
3. One of my favourite friends complained about not having her blog on my blogroll. I’ve just checked her blog and she doesn’t have mine either -_- anyway, I got yours on my list, Toh! If you’re looking for a good dentist, check her blog.
4. To Lamuel and Marcus. Nothing can stop two of you from loving each other. But i dont know why I feel sorry for Lamuel. Have a nice and safe trip to Sydney!
